Wish Upon A Wedding Ball

On Thursday, November 4, The Ebell of Los Angeles had the privilege of hosting the inaugural The Blissful Wishes Gala, a wonderful event for Wish Upon a Wedding, an organization founded with the goal of providing wedding and vow renewals for couples facing terminal illness and other serious life-altering circumstances.

Guests entered the Courtyard Garden via the red carpet press line, then enjoyed champagne cocktails through ice luges in the courtyard garden, accented by movie clips from the Golden Age of Hollywood.   The silent auction in the Ebell’s Art Salon was scented with cascading chocolate from the chocolate fountain, which primed appetites for the succulent four-course dinner prepared by The Ebell’s Executive Chef Louis Pechan.   Greeted by the swinging tunes of The Fabulous Esquires Big Band, over 200 event professionals were presented details of the organization, applauded award recipients, and socialized in the most dazzling of settings.  After dinner?  More dancing, of course!  The Lounge was transformed into a classic Hollywood Supper Club, complete with black and white dance floor!
