On Thursday, July 21st, the The Ebell of Los Angeles Special Events Department hosted its 3rd “Taste of The Ebell,” a showcase offering clients a special evening to sample delicious menu elements and unique event enhancements in preparation for their special day.
Menu and place cards were designed by Cherish Paperie.
The evening began with rounds of our Signature beverages, a baby tub full of vintage soda pop, and the Cotton Candy Cocktail, (more on that in part 3 of the post series), and hors d’oeuvres created by Executive Chef Louis Pechan. Brian So of G2 Audio Lighting created a lovely ambiance in the Garden with paper lanterns and string lights as guests kicked back and enjoyed the cool summer breeze in garden furniture from the new “Vineyard Collection” by Town and Country Event Rentals.
Who’s That DJ? Matt Gudis mixed the dinner tunes, while Jazz Harpist Lori Andrews serenaded guests during cocktail hour.

A very special thank you to the amazing and talented event professionals who made the evening beautiful…

Before sitting down to enjoy a sampling of starters, entrees and desserts from Executive Chef Louis Pechan, guests mingled in the Garden, enjoying hors d’oeuvres, wine and the evening’s signature cocktail: a Cotton Candy Cocktail.
“I discovered Tasty Clouds cotton candy at a recent industry event and loved not only the delicious and unique flavors they offered, but also the nostalgia and fun of it,” offers Director of Special Events, Melissa Kay Allen. ” Its safe to say that cotton candy inspired the colors and tone of this showcase tasting event, so of course, we had to incorporate it into a signature cocktail too.”
“Cotton Candy Cocktail”
- 2 oz Pinnacle Cotton Candy Vodka
- 1 oz pineapple juice
- Splash of grenadine
- Cotton Candy
Place a piece of cotton candy in an empty martini glass. Shake vodka, pineapple juice and grenadine with ice, and pour over cotton candy in martini glass. Garnish with cotton candy cloud and enjoy!
“Cheers!”
