About Melissa Kay Allen

Melissa Kay Allen is the Director of Catering & Special Events at The Ebell of Los Angeles. She joined the Ebell in January 2007 with years of experience as an independent wedding planner with a focus on creating vintage events.  After studying voice, theater and film in her hometown of Las Vegas, she spent six years at Disney Feature Animation in Production Management before embarking into the wonderful world of weddings & events.

Melissa was The Co-director of Educational Workshops for the Association of Bridal Consultants Greater Los Angeles Networking Group and is currently a regular contributor of wedding advice at WeddingAces.com and blogger of the event industry happenings at MelissaKayAllen.com and has appeared at various workshops and speaking engagements.

In keeping with the vintage touch, Melissa is a vocalist with the Fabulous Esquires Big Band and can occasionally be found on dance floors around the southland lindy hopping and jitterbugging.
